Outdoor Dining Eateries in NJ

Governor Murphy has recently allowed restaurants to reopen for outdoor dining. Some restaurants have enough room outside to make room for dining. Many eateries utilize the parking lot space or outdoor patio for outside dining. Restaurants still have to abide by social distancing, tables are six feet apart and masks still have to be worn. Though the rules are still enforced, restaurants are happy they can bring hungry customers in.

Below is a list of some of the restaurants open for outdoor dining (We threw in some personal favorites too):

Jose Tejas (personal favorite)

If you’re from Jersey and haven’t heard of Jose Tejas, I’m sorry you’re not from Jersey. Jose Tejas is located in Iselin right off of Route 1 North. With the dining now being held outside Jose Tejas has a limited menu but the food is still amazing as usual. I have recently been here and sat outdoors and I can tell you, you still get amazing service and even food/drinks.

La Mezzaluna

This establishment has been around for over 15 years and is located right in the heart of Princeton. They serve classic Italian food and all their food is made fresh. Along with the outdoor dining option, you can order online for curbside pickup.

Porta (personal favorite)

I am around the Jersey City area a lot and Porta is a must eat place. The pizza here is Jersey’s finest. They have two locations, Jersey City and Asbury Park, both of which have outdoor dining and takeout. Times for both locations have changed so be sure to check out their site for current timings before you go. The Asbury Park location offers outdoor dining space at Porta National Park with additional seating on Kingsley Street.
